Looking Back on 2025
January – GTA Gets Moving
We hit the year with a bang with planning a plenty across all our clients. Knowing we had a busy 12 months ahead we prioritised our own health and well-being, kick starting healthy habits which kept us fit and focused all year.
February – PREM Rugby: Rugby Made Me Do It
We created Rugby Made Me Do It, a video-led campaign showing how rugby makes young people braver, fitter, happier and more resilient to help PREM rugby community teams engaged schools and teachers nationwide and inspire more young players to get involved.
March – Full house at the Yonex All England Badminton
GTA supported badminton’s flagship tournament to hit revenue targets and pack out the arena. By segmenting audiences and engaging Birmingham’s multicultural communities, we delivered a blend of digital marketing, OOH and partnerships.
April – London Landmarks Half Marathon takes over the capital
An annual highlight that never disappoints. This year’s highlights included Nas live on Heart FM’s breakfast show trying to persuade presenter Jamie Theakston to lace up his trainers!
May – TV favourites return for the Great Manchester Run
Supporting the North West’s biggest running weekend delivered coverage saturation across the region, along with a BBC Breakfast feature, and a star-studded start line with cast members from Strictly, Traitors, Corrie and Emmerdale.
June – Making waves at the Great North Swim
We made a splash in our first year supporting this event by persuading Virgin Radio’s Vassos Alexander to take on this MUST SWIM event for open-water enthusiasts.
July – Celebrating women’s sport with Lacuna
SOOO LDN took over Regent’s Street and Lacuna came out to bat with their three-day Summer Innings: A Celebration of Cricket. Connecting the cricket community, driving awareness, attracting new audiences and ensuring the brand’s presence live’s long beyond the event.
August – UK B-Boy Championships take Manchester by storm
With just three weeks to go, we were called on to support the UK B-Boy Championships World Swinging into action we secured strategic media partnerships and created a Breaking pop-up in Manchester city centre. The result: BBC North West Tonight, BBC Radio Manchester and Hits Radio, Manchester Evening News and a striking picture story in The Times.
September – Racing Dame Kelly Holmes at the Great North Run
This year’s Great North Run delivered unforgettable moments – from crack of dawn filming with BBC Breakfast to Dame Kelly Holmes racing up the motorway slip road for a live TV interview, to managing the media pack at the finish eager to speak to Eilish McColgan to chaperoning Tommy Fury and his film crew - the world’s most iconic half marathon never disappoints.
October – Mental health in focus with PREM Rugby & Laureus
We delivered mental health–focused campaigns for PREM Rugby and for new client Laureus. The PREM Rugby x Mental Health UK ‘Bravery Starts Here’ campaign launched their league wide partnership designed to promote better mental health across rugby. Laureus also announced Jude Bellingham as their new ambassador on Mental Health Awareness Day, sharing his in-depth interview on mental health to generated widespread coverage.
November – Onboarding ISPO, the global sports industry event
We welcomed new client ISPO, the world’s flagship sports industry event, providing press office support as the event moves from Munich to Amerstadam for 2026. Working closelywith Raccoon Media Group we’re excited to be supporting this landmark global sports event as it evolves over the next 12 months.
December – Shaping the 2026 Laureus Sports Awards
We’re closing the year by starting work on the Laureus Sports Awards 2026. Helping create and shape the UK Nominations Panel, key sports media who have the vital role in determining the nominees for the most prestigious celebration of sporting excellence.
