From alleged course cutting by runners, inappropriate behaviour to course incidents and seriously ill participants, Nasima has provide crisis communications and issues management support for The London Landmarks Half Marathon since 2021.

  • Creation of a crisis and issues communications handling procedure/handbook and establishment of crisis comms team

  • Strategic guidance for the senior team on appropriate responses to situations as they arise throughout the year

  • Pre-preparation of statements in preparation for any eventuality

  • Organising media training for the senior team

  • 24:7 on-call contact as a member of the crisis comms team during event weekend

  • Attendance in event control on race day providing comms as live situations arise

  • Liaison with the media as appropriate including the creation of press statements
